This course will teach the participant to identify nutritional needs. Participants will also learn general knowledge of food prep and sanitation, proper food handling in a RCAC, CBRF, AFH setting. We will also cover diet type, menu planning, food safety, and food labeling/discarding.

This course is a through explanation of the right of residents that live within the state of WI. You will also become educated on house rules, coercion, retaliation, confidentiality and restraints. Standard grievance policy and procedures will also be covers in this course. 

This course will teach the participant to identify every needed component of a detailed care plan and/or an ISP (Individual Service Plan)

This course covers strict HIPPA policies of all RCAC, CBRF, and AFH settings. This course covers social media and phone usage policies. This course covers client identity protection. This course also introduces HIPPA in conjunction with abuse policies. 

This course is taught by an RN who is CPI certified with mental illness and development disabilities experience. This course will teach the participant to recognize triggers, escalated behavior and react acting quickly with non-violent de-escalating challenging behaviors and situations.  

This course is hands on and teaches you to take a complete set of vital signs under the supervision of a RN. Participation includes in early recognition of abnormal vital signs, normal vital signs and when to report VS to your immediate supervisor. Learn more about best practice.  Pain is the 5th Vital Sign. 

This course is taught by a wound care certified RN on how to prevent pressure sores. This course help identify clients at risk and how to intervene immediately. This course includes minor wound care application. This course also identifies dietary supplements, proper repositioning, and proper skin management; key concepts to pressure ulcer prevention.  

This course includes hospice after- care, life expectancy goals, dietary, skin management, family dynamics, grieving and denial. This is and overview of a client who is actively transitioning. 

This course is to identify proper hand-washing. This a hands-on course that requires return demonstration with competency. You will be checked off by a RN. 

This course is SPECIFICALLY geared for NEW hires in adult family homes. This course is required per DHS  88.04(5)(a). 15 hours in total at new hire within 6 months after starting to provide care. This training includes fire safety and first aid.  

This course is to identify proper management of the population that you servicing as a healthcare provider.

This course teaches you proper diabetic management. This includes properly checking a blood sugar, insulin administration, dietary management, signs and symptoms of hypo/hyperglycemia, proper skin management, diabetic foot check, and insulin types. This course includes dietary teaching as recommended per the American Diabetes Association. RN delegation is REQUIRED if you are a provider for a diabetic client. 

This course teaches you read physician tube feeding orders including water flushes. This course is taught by a RN with troubleshooting capabilities. This is a hands-on course and requires you facilities owner/ house manager and client to be present. This is for  G/J TUBE FEEDING/MEDICATIONS ONLY . This is a client specific training course.

This course is a refresher course for Medication Administration,  Standard Precautions, Fire Safety, and 1st  Aide and Choking. 8 hours of education is required the beginning of  EVERY calendar year per DHS 88.04(5)(b) while working in a AFH/CBRF setting.
